When you are presenting in front of an audience, you are actually performing as an actor does on stage. How you are being perceived by your audience is gravely important. Dress appropriate for the occasion. You should be dressed just one step above your audience. Do not over do it. Appear relaxed, speak slowly and enunciate clearly, and show the proper emotion and felling for the topic you are addressing.

Maintaining sincere and proper eye contact with your audience is the most important of the advanced tips on public speaking. If you are staring down at your papers, or staring up at the ceiling, rest assured, your audience is not listing to you.
